BRILLIANT ACADEMY OF LEARNING provides Coaching for NAVY AA/SSR (Artificer Apprentice/ Senior Secondary Recruitment) in Delhi.

Selection Procedure: It is a two phased selection process. First Phase includes aptitude test, picture perception and story making test. Second phase has Psychological tests, Group Activities, Personal Interview and complete medical examination.

The question paper will be bilingual and objective type and of 1 hour duration. The results will be announced on the same day.
Those who qualify will undergo Physical Fitness Test and Medical Examination. Those who are declared medically fit would be considered fully qualified and those who are declared temporary unfit will be required to appear for Review Medical on the stipulated date.

What is NAVY?

Indian Navy is one of the essential part of Indian Army which fights in water or can say guard water border of India. Every year several applicants apply for various posts to be a part of the challenging stream of Indian Navy. Recruitment of sailors in Indian Navy is an application based and is carried out on the All India Merit on the basis of a Written Examination, Physical Fitness Test and Medical Examination.

How to Apply:
Applicants can apply for varied posts in the Indian Navy by filling the form available over the internet. They can also type the same on a plain paper and then do the submission. Those who are planning to apply for more than one post need to file separate applications. Applicants need to fill in the form with necessary particulars and get them enrolled with the examination.

Marital Status: Unmarried Indian Male citizens are eligible
Nationality: Indian. Gorkha subjects of Nepal are also eligible for recruitment.

Age for AA 17 – 20 Yrs.
Age for SSR 17 – 21 Yrs.

Education Qualification :
For AA - 12 th (Physics , Chemistry and Maths ) with 60% Marks
For SSR - 12 th ( Physics, Chemistry and Maths ) with 50% Marks

The Written Test will have four sections and of 1 hour duration.

Section I: English-25 marks
Section II: Science-25 marks
Section III: Maths-25 marks
Section IV: GK -25 marks


Qualifying in this Test is mandatory for enrollment. The standard of Physical Fitness Test is (1) One Mile (1.6 km) run to be completed in 7 minutes. (2) 20 sit ups. (3) 10 push ups. (4)Candidates need to clear 9 feet long jump in one attempt.

STEP 3 - Medical Standards
Special training sessions in BRILLIANT ACADEMY OF LEARNING will help candidates to clear NAVY AA/SSR (Artificer Apprentice/ Senior Secondary Recruitment).

A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health.
Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 Cm expansion.
Should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes. He should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye. Colour vision should be such that he is able to recognize white, signal red and signal green colours correctly as shown by Martin’s Lantern at 1.5 metres)
Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points.
Should not have disease like deformity of bones, hydrocele and varicocle or piles.
Soldier (GD) for Infantry will have 6/6 eye sight.
HIV Screening during recruitment stage is being considered keeping in mind the angles of human rights & legal aspects.

Performance in Written Examination, Computer Knowledge, Sports and NCC will be taken into consideration for the final selection. After enrollment candidates will be sent on Railway Warrant to Chilka (Odisha) for initial training of 24 weeks.

For Sportsmen: Outstanding sportsmen who have participated at National/State Level will have to qualify in the Sports trials in addition to written exam, PFT and Medical.


24 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by 24 weeks professional training in the allotted trade in Naval Establishments all over the country. Branch/Trade will be allocated as per requirement of service.

B Tech (10+2 NAVY)

10 +2 (B Tech) Navy is a four years degree course conducted at Naval Academy, Ezimala, Kerala. The cadits will join in either Applied Electronics Engineering Stream. At the end of the course cadets will be awarded B Tech Degree from JNU. The Cadets will join the Executive or Engineering branch on Commission as officers.

Eligibility Conditions

Only unmarried Male
Age - 17 to 19½ years (at the time of joining the course)
Education - Passed 10+2 or equivalent Exam with minimum 70% in PCM and min. 50% marks in English (either class X or XII).
Height - Minimum 152 cm
Eye Sight - Minimum 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour / night blindness.
Tattoo - No Tattoo, Exceptions for Declared Tribal Area. However, small tattoo on forearm or back of palm allowed

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB) based on their `class XII (PCM) percentage or ‘JEE (Main) rank’ based on their choice.
Equal number of candidates would be shortlisted for SSB from the two lists based on their merit. However, if the response from either of the options is less, candidates from the other list will be considered for short listing.
Final induction will be on a common merit based on SSB marks.
