Dear Aspirants Ssc that is Staff Selection Commission conducts examinations for Subordinate posts in Union Government of India.
Ssc holds entrance test for Non - Gazetted posts of C &  D Grade & few Gazetted posts of B Grade for Central Government of India.
Ssc Mts, Ssc Chsl, Ssc Cgl, SSC GD Constable ,Stenographer C& D Grade, Ssc JE , Cpo, Delhi police constable entrance etc.  are some prominent examinations conducted by Ssc.
Ssc Cgl  exam is held  in  3 tiers  except few posts  where it is held in 4 tiers. First tier of Ssc Cgl is held online and it is objective type with multiple choice questions and having the scheme of negative marking. So don't make wild guesses. Subjects in first tier of Ssc Cgl are Quantitative Aptitude (Mathematics), English, Reasoning, &  General Knowledge. 25 questions each from all these 4 sections which totals to 100 questions. The total marks is 200 (50 *4).The time given to the examinees  in Ssc CGL Tier first is 75 minutes for 100 questions that is per question you get less than 45 seconds because you have to spend time in completing the formalities also during the examination.
The second tier of Ssc Cgl is  also held online, having objective type questions with multiple choice options. Subjects in second tier of Ssc Cgl are  Mathematics  &  English. There will be 100 questions in Mathematics of 200 marks that is per question 2 marks. There will be 200 questions in English of 200 marks that is per question 1 marks. Time duration for each paper is 2 hours each.
Third tier of Ssc Cgl will be of Descriptive English /Hindi. In this section you will be asked to write Essay, Application, Letter, Precis etc.
Fourth tier in Ssc CGL will be for few posts like Income Tax in which you will have to appear in C. P. T. (computer proficiency test).

Ssc Chsl will be conducted in 3 tiers. The first tier of Ssc Chsl will be also online, objective type with multiple choice options having the scheme of Negative Marking.
Subjects in first tier of Ssc Chsl will be Mathematics, English, Reasoning & General Knowledge. Syllabus of Ssc Cgl, Ssc Chsl, Ssc   MTS ,is similar & only difference is in hardness level.
Second tier in Ssc Chsl will be Descriptive. You have to write Essay either in English or Hindi.
Third tier in Ssc Chsl will be of Skill test like typing or data feeding in computer according to the post you applied for.
For preparing any of Ssc entrance examination firstly go through the syllabus which is available online or offline. You can crack SSC CGL in your First Attempt if you follow following steps :

Firstly understand the syllabus and scheme of the examination.

Secondly have a look at previous years question papers and prepare a blue print of the pattern of the questions, weightage & importance of various sections in your examination.

Thirdly procure quality study materials which are available online and offline. For Mathematics - Quantitative Aptitude of RS Agrawal & Advanced Maths of Kiran Publication. For English - Book of Arihant publication (S. P. Bakshi) or of Lucent publication. Read newspaper The Hindu daily. For G. K. - N. C. E. R. T. Books of science and social science from class 6 to 10 and Lucent G. K., Read newspaper The Hindu daily. Read a monthly magazine Pratiyogita Darpan. For Reasoning - Go through R. S. Agrawal ‘s Verbal and Nonverbal Reasoning only those chapters which is in your syllabus. Although Practice of previous 10 years question papers of Reasoning is more than sufficient for the SSC CGL.

Fourthly prepare a study - schedule and try to adhere to it to the utmost extent with occasional adjustments. Suppose you have decided to study 8 hours daily then divide your efforts in this way. For Mathematics - 2 hours. For English - 2 hours. For Reasoning - 1 hour. For General knowledge - 1 hour. Newspaper reading - 1 hour. Magazine reading - 1 hour. If you follow this you can easily complete the syllabus of First Tier in 3 months.

Fifthly - Now change your study - schedule. Now solve previous years question papers at least 6 hours daily. When ever you face any problem take help from the solution. In rest 2 hours continue reading The Hindu and Pratiyogita Darpan in the similar way. In 2 months you can easily solve atleast 10 years question papers of Ssc Cgl, Ssc Chsl, Ssc mts& Cpo. Syllabus of all of them is same. Only difference is in hardness level. So more & more practice of these questions will increase your ability and confidence.

Prepare for the exam taking in view all the 3 or 4 tiers (for some posts there are 4 tiers) As you know there are only two subjects in 2nd tier which are Mathematics and English. Syllabus of first and second tier are similar. So continue with same study materials. Now you are free from G. K. & Reasoning. But continue reading The Hindu because in 3rd Tier of Descriptive English it will help you. It will help you in First, second & third tier too.
