STEP 1 - WRITTEN TEST
The Written Test will have four sections and of 1 hour duration.
Section I: English-25 marks
Section II: Science-25 marks
Section III: Maths-25 marks
Section IV: GK -25 marks
STEP 2 - PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST ( P F T )
Qualifying in this Test is mandatory for enrollment. The standard of Physical Fitness Test is (1) One Mile (1.6 km) run to be completed in 7 minutes. (2) 20 sit ups. (3) 10 push ups. (4)Candidates need to clear 9 feet long jump in one attempt.
STEP 3 - Medical Standards
Special training sessions in BRILLIANT ACADEMY OF LEARNING will help candidates to clear NAVY AA/SSR (Artificer Apprentice/ Senior Secondary Recruitment).
A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health.
Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 Cm expansion.
Should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes. He should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye. Colour vision should be such that he is able to recognize white, signal red and signal green colours correctly as shown by Martin’s Lantern at 1.5 metres)
Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points.
Should not have disease like deformity of bones, hydrocele and varicocle or piles.
Soldier (GD) for Infantry will have 6/6 eye sight.
HIV Screening during recruitment stage is being considered keeping in mind the angles of human rights & legal aspects.
Performance in Written Examination, Computer Knowledge, Sports and NCC will be taken into consideration for the final selection. After enrollment candidates will be sent on Railway Warrant to Chilka (Odisha) for initial training of 24 weeks.
For Sportsmen: Outstanding sportsmen who have participated at National/State Level will have to qualify in the Sports trials in addition to written exam, PFT and Medical.
Training
24 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by 24 weeks professional training in the allotted trade in Naval Establishments all over the country. Branch/Trade will be allocated as per requirement of service.
B Tech (10+2 NAVY)
10 +2 (B Tech) Navy is a four years degree course conducted at Naval Academy, Ezimala, Kerala. The cadits will join in either Applied Electronics Engineering Stream. At the end of the course cadets will be awarded B Tech Degree from JNU. The Cadets will join the Executive or Engineering branch on Commission as officers.
Eligibility Conditions
Only unmarried Male
Age - 17 to 19½ years (at the time of joining the course)
Education - Passed 10+2 or equivalent Exam with minimum 70% in PCM and min. 50% marks in English (either class X or XII).
Height - Minimum 152 cm
Eye Sight - Minimum 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour / night blindness.
Tattoo - No Tattoo, Exceptions for Declared Tribal Area. However, small tattoo on forearm or back of palm allowed

Candidates will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB) based on their `class XII (PCM) percentage or ‘JEE (Main) rank’ based on their choice.
Equal number of candidates would be shortlisted for SSB from the two lists based on their merit. However, if the response from either of the options is less, candidates from the other list will be considered for short listing.
Final induction will be on a common merit based on SSB marks.
